My 3rd New Annual Catalog Card Swap!

Are you liking all of my Swap Cards? This is the third swap I have participated in since the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog debuted and out of the three, I think this card is my favorite. Most of you know that I LOVE to create masculine cards. They are my favorite....I know...I'm weird like that. Maybe it's because I was such a tomboy growing up and not a girly-girl at all!

I made 21 of these handsome cards using the A Good Man stamp set. You can see some close-up photos below and then I'll explain what I used to make these:

These are the layers and products I used:
  • Card Base: Garden Green Cardstock 11" x 4-1/4". Score and fold at 5-1/2".
  • Layer #2: Mosaic Mood Designer Paper 5-1/8" x 3-7/8". Glue to card base. Add a strip of the Basic Black Satin Ribbon about 2" from the bottom on the designer paper layer, cutting a little shorter so the ribbon won't peek out with the additional layers.
  • Layer #3: Mint Macaron Cardstock 5-1/4" x 4". Using the Stitched Nested Labels Dies, cut a hole in the cardstock with the die. Emboss the cardstock using the Subtle Embossing Folder. Glue to card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Layer #4: Whisper White Cardstock cut with the Stitched Nested Labels Dies. Use the die 2 sizes smaller then the die used on Layer #3. Stamp the image and sentiment using Memento Black Ink. Color with assorted Stampin' Blends. I used Mint Macaron (both), Smoky Slate (both) Balmy Blue (light), Soft Suede (both), Ivory and Cajun Craze (light).  Glue to the center of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Bling: Color some Pearl Jewels using the Basic Black (dark) Stampin' Blends Marker and add to the designer paper layer in the background.

  1. I appreciate man cards as they are difficult to come up with ideas on making them. This card is super cute. I'll tackle this idea for sure. Thanks for sharing. Marlene
