Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop!

Welcome to a Saturday Blog Hop at Create with Connie & Mary. This week our theme for the blog hop is "The Rose". I opted to create a clean & simple card design that can be easily replicated. Take a peek:

I repeatedly stamped the rose image from the Tea Together stamp set, leaving room for the sentiment from the Lasting Lily stamp set on the left-hand side. I then stamped a lone rose on So Saffron Cardstock and added a little bit of color with my Blends Markers and then topped it off with Clear Wink of Stella. It sparkles and shimmers so nicely!

These are the layers I added to my project:
  • Card Base: Pear Pizzazz Cardstock 11" x 4-1/4". Score and fold at 5-1/2".
  • Layer #2: So Saffron Cardstock 5-1/4" x 4". Glue to card base.
  • Layer #3: Whisper White Cardstock 5" x 3-3/4". Stamp three roses vertically on the right-hand side and stamp two on the left-hand side as shown in the photo using Memento Black Ink. Stamp the sentiment positioned at center-left using Memento Black Ink. Glue cardstock to card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Rose: Stamp one rose on So Saffron Cardstock using Memento Black Ink and cut out with the die from the Tea Time Framelits Dies. Color the leaves using the Light Granny Apple Green Blends Marker and add highlights to the rose using the Light Pumpkin Pie Blends. Color the entire rose with Clear Wink Of Stella and glue it in place over the center rose on the right with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Products Used:
  • Stamps: Tea Together, Lasting Lily
  • Inks: Memento Black, Light Granny Apple Green Blends Marker, Light Pumpkin Pie Blends Marker
  • Cardstock: Whisper White, So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz
  • Tools: Clear Wink Of Stella, Stampin' Dimensionals, Tea Time Framelits Dies
