Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop!

Welcome to a Saturday Blog Hop at Create with Connie & Mary. This week is all about winter flowers for our theme. I love poinsettia's and I especially love that in the stamping world, we can make them any color we want. For my project today, I created a Four Fold Card Fold and in order for you to be wow'd by all of the folds and layers, I have to show you lots of photos. Here we go:

The top photo shows you the card all folded flat and ready for mailing and the bottom photo shows you the beginnings of opening the card:

 Keep opening.....

Open again and voila, the last panel below:

Isn't that the neatest? And I have lots and lots of poinsettia's from the Stylish Christmas stamp set that I stamped and cut. This has been one of my favorite stamp sets to use this year. I love the Blackberry Bliss Ink color of my flowers. All of the flowers and leaves are hand-cut. Yes....I said hand-cut!

Want to try your hand at making one of these Four Fold Card Folds? Here's how:
  • Base Layer (1st piece): Blackberry Bliss Cardstock 11" x 5-1/2". Score at 3-3/8", 6-3/4". Cut off 1" from the top of the first two sections.
  • Base Layer (2nd piece): Blackberry Bliss Cardstock 3-1/2" x 3". Score at 1/2" on the 3" side. Glue the 1/2" flap to the back of Base Layer piece #1.
  • Layer #2 for all sections: Cut the following using Whisper White Cardstock-(2) 3-1/4" x 2-1/4", (2) 3-1/8" x 4-1/4" and (1)  4" x 5-1/4". Glue to each section of the card base.
  • Layer #3 for all sections: Frosted Floral Designer Paper (I used different patterns) (2) 3" x 2", (2) 2-7/8" x 4" and (1) 3-3/4" x 5"
  • Sentiment Layer: Whisper White Cardstock 2-7/8" x 3-3/4". Glue to the last section making sure that it is hidden when the card is folded closed.
  • Poinsettia's: Stamp and cut as many poinsettia's as needed using Blackberry Bliss Ink on Whisper White Cardstock. Hand-cut and layer on top of each other.  Glue to your liking. I cut some of the flowers in half to glue along the edges. The flower on the very front is layered with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Leaves: Stamp and cut as many holly leaves as needed using Mint Macaron Ink. Hand-cut and glue tucked under the poinsettia's
  • Bling: Add Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets to the card on the front only to keep the card flat.
Stampin' Up! Supplies Used:
  • Stamps: Stylish Christmas
  • Inks: Blackberry Bliss, Mint Macaron
  • Cardstock: Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White
  • Designer Paper: Frosted Florals
  • Tools: Paper Snips, Stampin' Dimensionals
  • Accessories: Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets
