Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop!

Welcome to a Saturday Blog Hop at Create with Connie & Mary. Our theme is "All About Neutrals" this week and my first thought was a masculine card. This is what I came up with:

I used products from the True Gentleman Suite on this card. This includes:

  • True Gentleman Buttons
  • True Gentleman Designer Paper
  • Tailored Tag Punch
  • Truly Tailored Stamp Set (retiring soon)
How easy it was to use the Tailored Tag Punch with some cardstock and designer paper to create a background for my card.

Here are my layers:

  • Card Base: Chocolate Chip Cardstock 8-1/2" x 5-1/2". Score at 4-1/4" and fold.
  • Layer #2: Using the Tailored Tag Punch, cut 6 using the designer paper and cut 6 using Crumb Cake Cardstock. Arrange in rows and trim the ends. You can use the trimmed ends to add the little missing pieces on the sides. Stamp the image on a few of the Crumb Cake Carstock pieces.
  • Ribbon: Add a strip of Tear and Tape horizontally about 1-1/4" from the bottom of the card front. Starting at the left, press about 1/2" of the Crumb Cake Classic Weave Ribbon in place. Create a few loops and press in place between the loops. I created four loops total and then pressed the remainder of the ribbon in place to the other end.
  • Button: Tie the Linen Thread through the holes in the button. Glue a button in place over the ribbon using Glue Dots, leaving room for the sentiment to the right of the button.
  • Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment using Chocolate Chip Ink on Very Vanilla Cardstock. Cut out using the punch and glue in place over the ribbon using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Stampin' Up! Supplies:
  • Stamps: Truly Tailored
  • Inks: Chocolate Chip
  • DSP: True Gentleman
  • Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
  • Accessories: True Gentleman Buttons, Crumb Cake Classic Weave Ribbon, Linen Thread
  • Tools: Tailored Tag Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Tear & Tape
