Welcome to a Saturday Blog Hop at Create with Connie & Mary. Don't Be Square is our theme for this week. Isn't that a riot? I was late to the game in purchasing the Home Life stamp set and coordinating Welcome Home Framelits Dies and I love the little house shape so I decided to use that for me card today:
This is what the inside looks like when open. I cut an additional white cardstock piece to glue on the inside and it looks fabulous with the Basic Gray Cardstock:
Aren't the stamped flowers pretty and vibrant in Daffodil Delight and Flirty Flamingo Inks. I'm going to miss Flirty Flaming when it retires soon!
How I created this shaped card is to first cut a piece of Basic Gray Cardstock and score and fold in the center. Make it large enough so the die fits on the front. Run through the Big Shot Machine, keeping the left-hand side with the fold, on the inside of the die so the fold doesn't get cut off:
Next I cut another piece of Basic Gray Cardstock using the die, but this time, cut the whole house shape and add the stamped background and images:
Glue this piece to the very front of the card. Repeat for the white cardstock on the inside but you'll have to trim the excess on the left-hand side. I hope you like my "Don't Be Square" card for today. Make sure you visit my teammates by following the blog hop below:
