Before I show you my project for today, I want to say Happy Birthday to my daughter Jessica! She is 33 today and doing well since the birth of her second child on March 10th.
Hello and welcome to our April Color Fusers Blog Hop! We have some beautiful spring colors for you today using our challenge colors of Melon Mambo, So Saffron and Tempting Turquoise. I don't know about you but I am so ready for spring. I even used flowers on my card with a spring feel to them:
I started my card out by using Embossing Paste on the background. I added three little piles of embossing paste to my Silicone Mat and mixed in a few drops of ink refill to color each pile for all three colors. I used the Palette Knives and the Pattern Party Decorative Masks to spread all three colors one at a time. I love how this embossing paste background turned out!
Next I stamped each orchid with the three ink colors on Whisper White Cardstock and spread the inked lines with a Blender Pen to keep the coloring subtle. This coloring technique is called "Coloring With the Lines". I have two layers of petals on each flower and they are glued in place with Stampin' Dimensionals. The Orchid Builder Framelits Dies made all of the cutting so easy for each layer!
