Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop!

Hello and welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at  Create with Connie & Mary. This week our challenge is to use the colors: red, white and pink. Does that make you think Valentines?

It sure did for me. We have such great stamp sets to use for Valentine's this year. The Heart Happiness stamp set and the Sure Do Love You Bundle. Look how pretty this card came out by using all three of these products. I also embossed the background using the Petal Pair Embossing Folders. These folder (two) are only 2-1/4" wide so they make for a nice strip of embossing:

Card Recipe:
  • Card Base: Powder Pink Cardstock 11" x 4-1/4". Score and fold at 5-1/2".
  • Layer #2: Powder Pink Cardstock 5-1/4" x 4". Glue to card base.
  • Layer #3: Whisper White Cardstock 5" x 3-3/4". Emboss about 1" from the bottom with the Petal Pair Embossing Folder (the one with the lines). Glue to card front.
  • Stamped Images: Stamp all of the images from both stamp sets using Real Red and Powder Pink Ink.s The large hearts were stamped by inking once and stamping twice. Cut all the pieces with the coordinating dies and glue in place. The banner is glued with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Bling: Add a few heart-shaped Metallics Enamel Shapes in the background and add a blow using White Bakers Twine to the banner.
Card Supplies:
  • Stamps: Sure Do Love You, Heart Happiness
  • Inks: Powder Pink, Real Red
  • Cardstock: Powder Pink, Real Red, Whisper White
  • Accessories: Metallic Enamel Shapes, White Baker's Twine
  • Tools: Lots To Love Box Framelits Dies, Stampin' Dimensionals, Petal Pair Embossing Folders
