Merry Monday Challenge #271!

Happy New Year to you all! I hope you have a good day today with the start of a brand new year upon us. Here in Maine, the temperatures have been in the negative 30's all week so we've been pretty much staying indoors. The deep freeze is too dangerous and people are being urged to stay home and to make sure to keep their pets inside. I'm hoping for an early spring thaw!

Did you feel stressed this Christmas when trying to get all of your Christmas cards made? Start a new tradition today and join us each week for our Merry Monday Challenge. You'll have all the cards you need by the time December rolls around. This week Linda wants us to use dry or heat embossing on our Christmas cards. This is my card:

I added both wet and dry embossing to my card. I created my own colored embossing by first inking my tree image with VersaMark Ink followed by Lemon Lime Twist Ink. By using the two layers of ink, once stamped the ink stays wet so you have time to sprinkle with Clear Embossing Powder.

The dry embossing was achieved by using the de-bossed side of the Softly Falling Embossing Folder. This created a falling snowflake effect and I then stamped the snowflake images in amongst the dry embossing:

Please join me in visiting Merry Monday Challenge today to see what my teammates have created this week. Enjoy your New Year's day today!

  5. Debbie, I love your cards and would love to save them to Pinterest. But, when I click the Pinterest at the bottom of your post I get the challenge emblem not your card. Is there anything I can do to get your card? Thanks

    1. Hi Pam, first, thanks for liking my card so much you want to Pin it! If you hover over the photo you like in the top left-hand corner, there is a Pin It button there for you to click on. I'm not sure though if this works on phones, ipads and tablets!
