Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop!

Happy Thanksgiving weekend! I hope you were able to have a nice Thanksgiving celebration with family. Dave and I layed low this year due to his recent knee replacement surgery. It's a week later and he is doing great so far. Of course he has a good nurse so that helps!

For our Saturday Blog Hop at Create with Connie & Mary, we are all featuring our favorite dies. Before I show you my project I just wanted to remind everyone that we are taking a break from our Mini Subscriptions for the month of December. We will be back in January with projects from the new Occasions and Sale-A-Bration Catalogs! You can still purchase our past subscriptions too!

My card for today, I used the Hometown Greetings Edgelits Dies and the coordinating Hearts Come Home stamp set:

Why is this my favorite? I am a Catholic and I've always had a fascination with churches. When I spied that a church was part of these dies, I was hooked. I love all the detaile that are included in each of the buildings once they are cut:

I no longer have this card as it was sold and forgot to write down the measurements before I mailed it away. The cardstock colors I used are Soft Sky, Dapper Denim, Smoky Slate and Whisper White. I cut the die shapes out first and layered them together and then trimmed the sides of my three layers so that the horizontal measurement is 5-1/4".

Once my die-cuts were glued in place, I stamped the sentiment and Santa's sleigh and completed the card by adding Rhinestone Jewels in the background.
