Today I am showing you two cards that were created during my Adult Education Classes fall session. This is Week 7 of 8 so one more to go!
These two cards were a big hit with my attendees this week. For the first card, I showed them the proper way of inking a super large background stamp. We used the Marbled background stamp on this card:
Did you know it's easiest to ink a large stamp by turning it upside-down, image facing up and then pouncing on the image with the ink pad? Once the background was glued in place on the card base, we added a cluster of layers such as a designer paper circle, a Silver Foil Sheet ring, a die-cut snowflake, a sentiment that was stamped and cut with a punch, and a ribbon bow:
Here are the supplies I used on this card:
For the 2nd card we created a card with a Gate Fold:
The gate fold is on the long side of the cardstock so you start with a piece of cardstock measuring 11" x 4-1/4". Score at 2-3/4" on both ends and fold. We placed a layer of Whisper White Cardstock on the inside that measures 5-1/4" x 4":
