Thailand Achievers July Blog Hop!

Welcome to our July Blog Hop for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators that achieved the Thailand Incentive Trip. As most of you know, we all traveled to Thailand on or around July 7th. For our Blog Hop this month we are all featuring "Thailand Incentive Trip Highlights" for you. Now keep in mind that I took over 500 photo's of our trip and I will be highlighting only a few! It's going to be hard to keep my post short!

Because this was my first incentive trip, I did not extend our time away before the trip or after the trip like a lot of our demonstrators did. I'm still quite new to this and stuck with the scheduled dates. For my first photo, this is what greeted us as we arrived at the Phuket International Airport. For Dave and I, we traveled from USA: Maine to Boston, Boston to Hong Kong, and Hong Kong to Phuket Thailand. Our total flying time was over 21 hours plus layovers at both places:

Upon arrival in Phuket, Thailand, Stampin’ Up! made arrangements for transport from the airport to the resort. The very first thing that stood out to the both of us was the “mess” of electrical and telephone wires throughout the city. Dave had a conversation with our tour guide a few days later and he explained that only 50% of the wires were functional and that they are slowly upgrading to underground wiring. The reason for the overabundance of wiring is due to the humid climate. About every 2-3 years, the wiring needs to be replaced with new wiring and they just leave the old wiring intact. Bet the electrical safety codes and standards would have a field day with this in the US!

We arrived at the Angsana Laguna Resort where this would be called home for the next 5 days. As we entered into the building, Stampin' Up! employees greeted us. It was pretty neat!

We completed our resort paperwork and headed to our Laguna Premier room. Our luggage was delivered by the resort shortly after we arrived. Once we arrived at our room, this personalized sign was hanging from our door. It was neat to see all of the demonstrator names on each door:

Our room was located on the 2nd floor and was so beautiful and quite spacious. This was our bedroom and yes, the bed was very comfy:

And the sitting area. I just love the colors! Rich Razzleberry anyone?

Our room also included a balcony which had a beautiful view of the beach area, the lagoon and such pretty and exotic shrubbery, trees and flowers. The whole resort was beautiful:

Stampin' Up! is very well-known for treating and pampering their demonstrators while at an incentive trip. Our first night, this basket full of exotic fruit was delivered to our room:

On Day #1, which would have been on Monday, all demonstrators and their guests attended the first gathering in a beautiful outdoor grand tent. The gathering was quite exciting as CEO Sara Douglas started the presentation along with Rich Judkins CFO and Shelli Gardner. We were all presented with the new Holiday Catalog (which I can't show you yet) and new products. Lots of new products from the upcoming Holiday Catalog! Once the presentations ended, we were all returned to the resort and picked up boxed lunches in the lobby area. The boxed lunches included Thai food. It was interesting to say the least.

Each and every night,  when we arrived back to our rooms after supper, we always had a package sitting on our beds which are known in the Stampin' Up! world as "pillow gifts". These gifts were so exciting, it was just like Christmas. I came back home with so much new product from the new upcoming Holiday Catalog (again, I can't show you yet)!

Each package was decorated like the one above and included something to read on the back of the tag. The photo below shows a waterproof holder to use the following day for our group outing. It was made to hold a cell phone, currency and other things you wanted to protect from water as we were going on a group water excursion the following day:

The group photo below is taken in a speed boat that took us to a snorkeling excursion to Phi Phi Islands. Dave and I are on the left:

The photo below shows you the speed boats that held about 30 of us on each boat. We snorkeled, we visited a beach and a huge buffet awaited for us for lunch. This was a great day!

The following day was our group activity at Phang Nga Bay. We again embarked on speed boats and we all participated in a private tour-guided canoe trip to a cave and we toured inside and outside of the cave. Our next stop was a floating village where we visited a muslim community and muslim school and we completed our trip with a beach BBQ. This was a full-day activity and it was fantastic!

This is a photo of the cave that we all went inside with on tour-guided canoes:

At one point, our canoe guide asked me for my iPhone, placed a leaf with a heart cut-out in front of the lens and took our photo. This was quite neat as it was our anniversary that day!

Happy Anniversary to us!

This was another "pillow gift" stuffed with new Holiday Catalog products. This tote bag came in very handy to store all of my pillow gifts when traveling back home. I guarded it with my life on the airplane!

One of the other excursions we had signed up for was a Quad ATV ride in the jungle. Dave and I are avid ATVers back home so this was right up our alley. We rode with a large group and had a lot of fun going through water and mud:

I leave you today with this breath-taking view of the sun setting for the night. Dave and I had a good time in Thailand and we thank Stampin' Up! immensely for this opportunity of a life time! Thank you to all of my customers and Downline for making this dream come true for us!
