Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop!

We are "Saying Goodbye" to some of our favorite stamp sets this week at Create with Connie & Mary for our Saturday Blog Hop. The Day At The Beach is a favorite of mine. So much that I'm going to keep this stamp set because I can see endless possibilities even with scrapbooking on this one!

I decided to keep my card mostly in the "blues" color scheme and then added just a hint of Emerald Envy with the sentiment and twine:

Here is the recipe for creating this card:

  • Card Base: Island Indigo Cardstock 11" x 4-1/4". Score in the center at 5-1/2" and fold.
  • Layer #2: Marina Mist Cardstock 5-1/4" x 4". Glue to card base.
  • Layer #3: Whisper White Cardstock 5" x 3-3/4". Stamp the dolphin image repeatedly using Island Indigo and Marina Mist Inks. Add bubbles using the image from the Painters' Palette stamp set and Evergreen Envy Ink. Glue to card front.
  • Twine: Wrap the Emerald Envy Solid Baker's Twine around the card front three times and tie into a bow.
  • Layer #4: Marina Mist Cardstock cut with the Stitched Shapes Dies measuring 2-7/8" wide. Set aside.
  • Layer #5: Whisper White Cardstock cut with the Stitched Shapes Dies measuring 2-3/8" wide. Stamp the image using Island Indigo Ink off to the right. Glue over the Marina Mist layer to the right and cut off the left side. Use a Blender Pen to add Marina Mist Ink to the image. Stamp the sentiment from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set with Emerald Envy Ink. Glue to card front using Stampin' Dimensionals, even with the edge of the Whisper White Cardstock layer on the left.
Card Supplies:
  • Stamps: Day At The Beach, Thoughtful Banners, Painters Palette
  • Inks: Island Indigo, Marina Mist, Emerald Envy
  • Cardstock: Whisper White, Island Indigo, Marina Mist
  • Accessories: Emerald Envy Solid Baker's Twine
  • Tools: Stitched Shapes Dies, Stampin' Dimensionals

  1. What a great card that makes me wish I was at the beach. I was at the pool earlier this morning so this will have to do.
