Shoe Box Swap Card!

A few weeks ago, I hosted a Shoe Box Swap for my customers and friends. What is a Shoe Box Swap? The first step is to sign up when I post my event. Once the deadline to sign up is here, I tell the girls how many people signed up. Their first step is to design one card that takes 10-15 minutes for someone else to create. The card below is a perfect example. A little bit of stamping, gluing a few layers & elements and a cute embellishment:

Once a card has been designed, that person then creates kits for the number of people attending so that the attendees can re-create the same card. For this Shoe Box Swap, I had asked for 3 layers on each project and I wanted to keep the group at 8. Because I had exactly 8 girls sign up, I was there to assist anyone and watch. This card was an extra kit that Deloris had on hand and gave me when the event was completed.

All of the stamps, ink, punches, dies, tools, cardstock, etc. needed to create the card are then added to a Shoe Box. All of the cardstock layers are pre-cut. You'll see a photo at the end of my post for all of the Shoe Boxes the girls came up with. Once each person is seated at the table, they position the Shoe Box in front of them. I then say "okay, move your Shoe Box to the right" and once all Shoe Boxes are passed along to the right, they dig in and create the card in that particular Shoe Box. We wait until everyone has completed their projects and we move to the right again until all boxes have moved around 8 times. This is what creativity in the works looks like:

And these were all of the cards created. This first one is Farleen Smith's card:

Deb LaRosa's card:

Gloria Power's card:

Cindy Milton's card:

Roberta Todd's card:

Cyndee Randall's card:

Deloris Hammond's card:

and Laura Bissell's card:

And these were all of the Shoe Boxes (minus one), I missed one for some reason:

This is a great event to hold as a demonstrator or you could gather a group of your family & friends and host your own event. This is another card that I completed after the event was over-with as Farleen had an extra kit for me as well:
