Paper Pumpkin April 2017 Kit & Sneak Peek Bonus Project!

Wowza! The Stampin' Up! Paper Pumpkin April Kit is fabulous! If you love to watercolor, this kit is right up your alley. We found out a few weeks before the kit was mailed to us that a BONUS GIFT would be included and it was. The gift was a set of 4 watercolor pencils to use on our cards. Take a peek at the 3 cards made exactly like the kit PLUS one BONUS Sneak Peek Alternative Project:

You will also see the 3 cards up close here that are made by following the kit instructions. Card #1:

Card #2:

And Card #3:

The flower embellishments are so glamorous. They are all flat-clear-bottomed and on the top....ALL, THAT. GLITTER. WOW!

And here is an Alternative Project idea that I came up with using the kit contents and a few additional Stampin' Up! supplies:

I have two layers of butterflies. One Bold Butterfly Framelits Dies cut with Vellum Cardstock on the bottom topped with a butterfly cut with the Butterflies Thinlits Dies. The top butterfly used one of the watercolored layers from the kit. I used the purple and blue watercolor pencils on the layer. Here are some close-up photo's:

And here's my video showing you how to create all 4 projects:

  1. Coolness! I like your alternate project butterfly card. I like the vellum solid butterfly under the ornate one.
