Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop!

You are in for a treat this week for our Saturday Blog Hop at Create with Connie & Mary. We are all featuring Easter Favors. I dug out my Window Box Thinlits Dies and added a bit of Punch Art to my box:

Can you guess where my bunny comes from? I used the Fox Builder Punch. Isn't it the cutest? I snipped the original ears off of the head and made my own ears using the punched tail! See how I cut the inside of the tail in the photo below? I glued a cardstock handle that I could use to insert into the punch to make the Pink Pirouette Cardstock layers skinnier by cutting off a small sliver on each piece. Once cut, both pieces fit nicely into the Whisper White Cardstock ears to create the two layers:

Here's a close-up of the Punch Art bunny with the die-cut eggs and daffodil flowers. The Basket Builder Bunch makes it easy to stamp the images and cut them out with the coordinating dies:

Once my box was complete, I add Organza Ribbon around all six sides of the box and tied it into a beautiful bow. Five sides are secured in place with a little piece of Tear & Tape:

Once you create a box with the dies, here are the tools needed to create the Punch Art bunny:

  • Head: Cut (1) head using the Fox Builder Punch and Whisper White Cardstock. Snip off the ears. Add the face using the face image and Smoky Slate Ink.
  • Body: Cut (1) body using the punch and Whisper White Cardstock. Stamp the legs to the front using Smoky Slate Ink.
  • Ears: Cut (2) of the tail from the punch using Whisper White Cardstock and (2) using Pink Pirouette Cardstock. Snip the pink pieces as outlined above in the photo with the punch and then layer the pink over the white pieces
  • Assemble the bunny and glue to the box using Stampin' Dimensionals!
