Upon arriving at the hospital I told them exactly what my daughter told me to ask for...a crisis evaluation. Nine hours later and many tests later it was determined that one...her doctor removed her cold turkey from addictive sleeping pills (she had not slept for over a week since then) and two....her doctor switched her cold turkey from one anti-depressant to another. No wonder my poor Mom was declining so rapidly. It is now 10 days later and she's been sleeping since the ER visit with non-addictive sleeping pills (1/2 a pill each night), has been eating, has gained weight and has almost gained her strength back. She's been helping with the cooking and baking and we've had a few outings to get her back out. We've had a counselor coming to the house once a week to follow-up and she starts with a grief counselor in a few days. Thanks so much to everyone for all of the prayers, notes, emails....you all have given my Mom the hope and strength she needed to get through this. I have my Mom back. Thank you!
So now back to the projects that were all made by some of my Downline. I had asked girls frommy team to create Easter cards and since we did not have a lot of Easter stamps in our current catalogs, I did not push them to use current products. They were allowed to use anything they had on hand.
The first Easter card is from Mary Ann Gerrish:
I love how bright & springy Mary Ann's card is. We still have quite a bit of snow here in Maine so this card gives me spring fever! Love that Mary Ann used the Stitched Shaped Framelits Dies for the two stamped layers and what great coloring of the tulip bunch!
Card #2 & Card #3:
Both of these beautiful cards were made by Beverly Lazarz. The one above is my personal Easter card that she sent Dave and I. I love how elegant the designer paper looks paired with the doily and cute little bow. The card below is so adorable. I love the look on the bunny's face as he is presenting the beautifully colored flower!
Maggy Everett created the last card I am showing you today. Isn't the hand-cut cross beautiful with the shadow showing around it? She glued the cross in place with Stampin' Dimensionals for height and I love how she used the palm image for the background!
