Sue had me totally stumped this week for our Merry Monday Challenge. I did not have any stamp sets with lamp posts in them so I went to my second choice, which was to use my Silhouette Cameo to die-cut one for me. That's okay, right?
I really liked the idea of using a wall-mount lamp post. Before I glued my die-cut shape in place, I sponged all 4 sides of my Soft Sky Cardstock layer. I then glued the die-cut in place and added some little stars from the Brights Enamel Shapes to serve as my flames:
I also added a red ribbon at the top and a sentiment to the post. When I had my card all completed, I thought it needed just a bit of something else, so I added some swirly stamping in the corners using the Falling Flowers stamp set.
For the bling part of my card, I added a large Rhinestone Jewel at the bottom of the lantern. I hope you plan on joining us. I got to take a sneak peek at what my teammates created and just wow! You need to make sure to visit Merry Monday to see all of the talent from the whole team!
