Create With Connie & Mary!

Up In The Air is our theme for the Saturday Blog Hop at Create with Connie & Mary! Oh the possibilities and decisions....so many stamp sets I could have picked from the Occasions Catalog. I finally decided on Super Duper:

My focus was actually on the "YAY" sentiment. I wanted to make it look like the balloons were attached to a floating sentiment. The design and detail in each balloon gives this card a bright & cheery look doesn't it? I added a few balloons that I fussy-cut by hand and glued in place using Stampin' Dimensionals:

Here's the how-to:

  • Card Base: Chocolate Chip Cardstock 11" x 4-1/4". Score and fold at 5-1/2".
  • Layer #2: Rose Red Cardstock 5-1/4" x 4". Glue to card front.
  • Layer #3: Whisper White Cardstock 4-1/2" x 3-1/4". Stamp the YAY using Chocolate Chip Ink about 1" from the bottom. Add the smaller sentiment below the large sentiment using Wild Wasabi Ink. Stamp several balloons above the sentiments using Wild Wasabi, Rose Red, Tempting Turquoise and Daffodil Delight Inks. Place a Post-It note over the sentiments and even with the top to cover them and stamp the string image to each balloon, connecting the balloons to the sentiment. Remove Post-It note. Glue cardstock piece in place to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Stamp a few extra balloons on a scrap piece of Whisper White and fussy-cut. Glue in place over the balloon cluster using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Supplies Used:

  • Stamps: Super Duper
  • Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Rose Red, Whisper White
  • Inks: Wild Wasabi, Rose Red, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight
  • Tools: Stampin' Dimensionals
