Sale-A-Bration Altered Tin!

Hi Everyone, I want to say thanks for all of the prayers for my Dad. He has been on a ventilator all week and the hospital will be waking him up this morning to remove the tubing. They have been waking him up a little each day but he's so groggy that we haven't been able to communicate much. Through this whole ordeal, my Mom ended up in the ER two days ago for exhaustion. We had a lot on our plate to handle and here's to hoping things are looking up. Please keep the prayers coming for my whole family. We are all exhausted. I'm adding this paragraph to my original post because some of you have been asking. Thank goodness I always post a week out. I did not have to worry about my blog not having any activity for you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for thinking of us.

Thank you, thank you to all of you that have been ordering during Sale-A-Bration! By the way, we have 3 more new products being added to the line-up of our list of FREE offerings starting February 21st. What great products Stampin' Up! has for all of us this year to earn for FREE! The Card Tin is one of those products that you can earn for FREE and what a beautiful way to store your handmade cards. The tin includes 9 customizable card divider tabs. Look how this one was decorated by Stampin' Up!

I love how they used the Large Letters Framelits Dies to add the word C-A-R-D-S and how great does the Night Of Navy Cardstock look against the goldish tin!

Large Letters Framelits Dies
Item #141712

And this is what I did with mine. I have lots and lots of photo's to show you all the detail that I used for my tin:

I forgot to show a photo of the inside but what I did was add the alphabet to each tab such as A-C, D-F, etc...and I have one index card for each of my customers sorted alphabetically by name. When I need to call, email or contact someone, I have it all at my fingertips!

So let's look at some close-up photo's and then I'll tell you what I used for Stampin' Up! products:

The So Detailed Thinlits Dies are so lovely. Did you notice how I added two layers of die-cut cardstock on top of each other to create a shadow effect? I used Garden Green Cardstock topped with Blushing Bride Cardstock! The Falling In Love Embellishments really look striking over the center of each flower die-cut.

The Vertical Garden stamp set is what I used for the large H-E-L-L-O sentiment. This is a two-step sentiment and isn't the shadow portion just neat?

I used the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set and Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies for my pretty dragonfly.

The dragonfly was stamped using Tip Top Taupe Ink and filled in with Blushing Bride Ink. I then die-cut and pounced on the whole dragonfly with my VersaMark Ink Pad and then sprinkled Heat & Stick Powder. I made sure my container of Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter was close-at-hand so that as soon as I melted the Heat & Stick Powder with my Heat Tool, I was able to quickly sprinkleas the Dazzling Diamonds so it would stick to the dragonfly. It is so shimmery and sparkly in person. I then added a small bow in the center of the body using

Now I just know you are going to want one of these  Card Tins right? It's so easy to earn one for FREE!

So how do you earn this Card Tin for FREE? By placing an order of $50 either through my Online Store, or you can contact me by email or photo to place your order!

  2. My gosh, I step away for a bit and it goes to heck with you. I hope your dad and your mum are recovering nicely. What a scare for you I'm sure.

As for the tin I love it and I got it for myself. I covet the die cut letters on it. Now if I only had a spare $100 lying around to get it! (I've seen other great things done with those letters too, so they've been inching up the wish list).

  3. Did you use glue dots to stick letters and flowers on to the tin?

    1. Lorena, yes I did use glue dots on all of my layers and embellishments. Lots of them!
