Next up is our regularly scheduled Team Saturday Blog Hop using Red, White & One Other Color. I decided to throw in Bermuda Bay for my "other color" and I used the Lift Me Up stamp set with the coordinating Up & Away Thinlits Dies:

I really like how the Real Red & Bermuda Bay Cardstock and Inks look paired together. Aren't the love clouds cute in the background and what about my little teeny tiny banner?

Card Recipe:

  1. Card Base: Bermuda Bay Cardstock 11" x 4-1/4". Score and fold in half at 5-1/2".
  2. Layer #2: Real Read Cardstock 5-1/4" x 4". Glue to card base.
  3. Layer #3: Whisper White Cardstock 5" x 3-3/4". Stamp the larger balloon image using Real Red Cardstock to the left and center. Set aside.
  4. Balloons: Ink the smaller balloon stamp using Bermuda Bay Ink. Stamp twice without re-inking. Cut out with the dies and glue in place on Layer #3 using Stampin' Dimensionals.
  5. Clouds: Stamp the clouds using Smoky Slate Ink.
  6. Banner: Stamp the sentiment using VersaMark Ink on a scrap piece of Bermuda Bay Cardstock and sprinkle with White Embossing Powder. Set with Heat Tool. Trim around the sentiment as close as you can and snip the end into a "V". Using an Exacto Knife, cut on the edge of the Real Red balloon and slide the banner under the balloon. Add adhesive at the other end of the banner and glue so the center pops up a little. Glue cardstock to card front.
  7. Bling: Add some Rhinestone Jewels to the Real Red balloon.
Card Supplies:
  • Stamps: Lift Me Up
  • Inks: Smoky Slate, Real Red, Bermuda Bay, VersaMark
  • Cardstock: Whisper White, Real Red, Bermuda Bay
  • Accessories: Rhinestone Jewels
  • Tools: Stampin' Dimensionals, Up & Away Thinlits Die, Heat Tool, White Embossing Powder
  • Misc: Exacto Knife
