Fine-Tip Glue Pen Gloss? Yes!

Good Morning! New update on my Dad. He was life-flighted to a medical center 5 hours away late yesterday afternoon and Dave and I are on the road this morning to get there to be with him. My Mom is still recuperating from exhaustion so will not be able to make the trip with us. I have posts set up ahead of time but as far as email, I may not be able to keep up while with my Dad. I will get to you as soon as I can. Pray for good news!

I have a new discovery to show you today and you are going to be bursting at the seams with excitement. Promise! Notice the photo below of our Fine-Tip Glue Pen.....

Before I explain what I did with the glue, let's take a peek at today's project using the Cool Treats stamp set, Frozen Treats Framelits Dies and the Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Paper. What a beautiful card and not that difficult to assemble either:

Now when you look at the close-up photo below, do you see the nice, shiny, clear gloss on the top layer of the ice cream cone? Remember years ago when Stampin' Up! sold Crystal Effects and we were all bummed that the product was discontinued? Well I have a solution to bring back the clear gloss look. Once your desired area is all stamped and ready for a glossy finish, color it in with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen and let it dry completely and this is the end result:

It dries pretty quickly (I set it aside) and it looks awesome, not sticky and hard to the touch. Before I added the glossy finish, I colored the top with Clear Wink Of Stella so I see a little bit of sparkle through the clear gloss finish. Isn't that the neatest tip? Told you so!

  5. What a nifty trick with the glue pen. Do you love that glue pen? Is clogging a concern? I think it looks intriguing but wonder about it since not many talk about it. It might be a hidden gem. Your card looks yummy!

I have you, your dad and your family in my thoughts!
