Beginner Class Winter Session Week #3!

I taught my beginner class two new techniques last week during my beginner class. We are almost half-way through our 8-week class time already. Time flies when we are having fun. So for the first card, I showed the girls how to use a Clear Block to stamp a background obviously called "Clear Block Stamping":

All you do is tap, tap, tap the clear block onto an ink pad to get it wet and stamp over a cardstock piece. This is better-achieved when you place a Stampin' Pierce Mat under the cardstock piece to give the stamping a little bit of cushion. Once the block image was stamped, we added a silhouette image fand a sentiment. This is a quick & easy 10 minute card!

Card #2 took a little longer to create because of all of the stamping. This technique is called "Triple Layer Stamping":

We started out by sparingly gluing the 3 white layers on top of each other and stamping all of the images. So you are actually stamping 3 layers at a time. This creates a little bit of white space around the outside of each layer so that's why we take the layers apart and glue the colored cardstock in-between each layer:

Pretty neat huh? I have a step-by-step tutorial that teaches you how to create this card and the tutorial includes all the measurements you'll need. Click on the link below. Have a good day!

  3. Very nice, Debbie. They will be thrilled!

  4. Love the 'Clear Block' Stamping! Going to have to CASE that one! I have done the 'triple layer stamping'! So much fun! Thank you so much for sharing your gorgeous cards!

  5. I need to take the clear block stamping portion of your class. I seem to have difficulty with that technique. Triple time stamping! I need to try that one again, it's been so long. Maybe with avant garden....!

Thanks so much for visiting me today. I appreciate your comments!
