A Girly Tool Card from Nailed It!

I love shopping at hardware stores. Really, I do. And do you know that I've always wanted my very own set of pink tools but never have purchased any. I have a small stash of tools in the house so I know exactly where they are when I need them. Do you? I can never find anything in the garage that is supposedly organized. Yup, right!

When I first eyed the Nailed It stamp set, I immediately wanted to create my very own set of pink tools on a card:

I also inked up the inside of the Hexagon Embossing Folder so that when I embossed the Pink Pirouette Cardstock layer, the ink "stamped" into the embossing. I really like how this looks:

The hammer and screw driver were stamped and cut in both the Melon Mambo Cardstock and Silver Foil Sheets and I hand cut the Melon Mambo sections to glue on top of the Silver Foil pieces. Because this card is meant for females, I added a bow from the Sending Love Ribbon Combo Pack! Of course we need a bow!

I hope you enjoyed my pink tools card. It's probably the closest I've ever come to owning my own pink tools! Enjoy your day today!

  1. OH DEB! I love it. Why didn't I think of this? It came out great. Double the use for this set.

  2. I love the pink girlie tools. I bought myself a drill once. Later hubby's grandmother gifted him a drill carrying case for "his drill." Ha!

  3. Great idea! I may have to CASE this one for my Sister! We both are 'tool freaks'! That's what you get when Daddy lets you play with the tools! Thank you for sharing this!

  4. Fabulous idea Debbie. I know a few girls who would love to get a card like this.

  5. What a fabulous idea, Deb....this is so smart and clever...TFS!

  6. LOVE this card and at first I did not think I would want the embossing folder but after seeing this card, I am going to get it:) I hope you do not mine me casing this card. The more I look at it the more I see Breast Cancer survivor cards for this. TFS!!

  7. Hi Debbie!
I love your card and of course I have to case it since its so awesome. I was at Home Depot two christmas's ago and saw a whole pink tool box. It was awesome! I almost bought it just because it was pink!
    Thank you for sharing!
