NOTE: I am re-posting this blog post because I had included photo's of the catalog before we were allowed to, my bad!
You are going to absolutely LOVE the FREE card kit that you can earn for FREE during Sale-A-Bration which started on January 4th. And like usual, I made alternative projects with the kit just for you like I do each month with my Paper Pumpkin Kits! I even have a video showing you the details of the kit and how I altered my cards!
So just what is Sale-A-Bration? It's that time of year when Stampin' Up! thanks their customers by offering FREE products in a special Sale-A-Bration Catalog. There are pages and pages of FREE items. For each $50 ordered, you get to pick an item! If you are a customer of mine, your catalogs should have arrived by now or should be in your mailbox shortly. If you don't receive them by the end of December, please contact me!
The photo below shows you how the kit is intended to be used. There are a total of 8 pocket cards and even the adhesive is all there for you. Just peel & stick. You can see how the insert is decorated and peeks through the fancy little cut-out window:
For my 2nd card, I opted to add a Delicate White Doily at the bottom of my card by folding it in half and gluing it to front & back. Did you notice the polka dots on my pocket card? I actually flipped the card base over to the wrong side. Instead of adding a sentiment to peek through the die-cut window, I added a 2nd flower. I also added a sentiment to the front & back as a pull-out tab on the very top of the pull-out section:
My 3rd project uses no sentiments. I added a flower at the top and also on the front of the pocket. I used one of the shorter sentiments and covered it with a flower:
I used the pocket card and cut it up to measure 4" x 5-1/4" on this next card and used it as a layer by adding a So Saffron Cardstock piece for the card base. The card base measures 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4". I added twine around the polka dot layer twice around and tied into a bow. Press in place the thank you sentiment and then cut a flower in half to add a piece at the top and bottom of the sentiment. I finished off the card by adding Rhinestone Jewels in the background and to the sentiment:
My final project is my favorite. I show you in the video how to create this box by gluing two card bases together and adding a bottom. Isn't this neat?
You can view my video here and if you have any questions about Sale-A-Bration, make sure you contact me. I would love to see an order from you through my Online Store and don't forget that I am offering you 20% off for the month of December and I will mail you a free card kit!
