Colour INKspiration #CI01!

Hi Everyone! I am joining in on the debut challenge of Colour INKspiration which is a Facebook page challenge. A few weeks ago the group started with a pre-Challenge and I played along. You can join in too by visiting their group page and asking to JOIN. You can do that here:

So the #CI01 challenge this week is to use 3 of the 6 colors you see below and the deadline is January 23rd:

I ended up using 5 of the 6 colors with the addition of Basic Black:

My colors are:

I used the Bokeh Technique on my card by first sponging all 5 ink colors on Whisper White Cardstock. I filled the whole cardstock layer with the 5 colors by sponging the ink using a Sponge Dauber for each color.

Using the 1/2", 3/4", 1" and 1-3/8" Circle Punches, I created a stencil with 4 holes in a scrap piece of cardstock. I positioned one circle at a time over the sponged ink and sponged White Ink inside the hole of the circle. I kept moving the stencil around to add all 4 circle sizes and also overlapping some of them. This is a neat look!

I completed my card by adding a double layer of die-cut butterflies, 2 banners, 2 sentiments and Rhinestone Jewels:

Here is a listing of all the supplies I used on my card:

  1. this is really pretty. I love bokeh though I am not good at it. At first I did not like peek-a-boo peach color, but now I have grown to love it. (especially on the ice cream or the cupcake frosting.) YUM

  2. The pastels in the inspiration photo want to send me screaming out of the room but your card is stunning!
