Color Fusers Blog Hop January 2017!

I'm so excited to inform you that I've been asked to join the design team at Color Fusers. How exciting is that? This month is my first month designing for the team. So what is Color Fusers all about? On the first Monday of each month we will host a blog hop using a color challenge. We can use all of the colors or a minimum of three on our project. So here is the team color challenge for January:

Isn't this a fabulous array of colors to combine together? Here's what I did with those colors:

I made two coordinating projects using the Lift Me Up stamp set and the coordinating Up & Away Thinlits Dies. I sure do love it when we have the stamp and die bundles, don't you? It makes life so much easier!

The dies cut the shape of the balloon and also the layers that go under the balloon that poke through all the detailed holes It's so easy to add color to the balloon. I also love that there are several cloud shapes to play with. I completed my balloon by adding some bling. A row of Rhinestone Jewels really stands out and looks marvelous right?

Did you notice my background layer? I used the Cable Knit Embossing Folder and inked it in Crushed Curry Ink, inserted my card base inside and voila, an inked & embossed background!

The first thing I thought of when I received my bundle, was using the balloon die to create a 3D balloon ornament. I giggled though when I had it all completed and noticed that Stampin' Up! had one pictured in the catalog too!

I cut out 5 of the balloons using the die in Crushed Curry Cardstock, folded them all in half and glue the halves to each other. Before I glued the last two halves, I inserted a piece of the 1/8" Gold Ribbon to use as the hanger.

  3. Those are cheery warm colors and very inspiring. Love your balloon card. The bling on it really makes it happen. The 3D ornament is cool too. Was it fiddly to fold in half?
