CCMC Saturday Blog Hop & 10 Days of Halloween Projects Day #4!

It's so hard to believe that October is here! It has been in the 30's in the morning when we wake up here in Maine. A tad bit cool.

Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create with Connie & Mary and my Day #4 of Halloween Projects. Today we are featuring the "Colors Of Halloween". I decided to go "clean & simple" with my card for today:

All you need for this card is lots of sponging and a little repetitive stamping and you're good to go! Let's create together:
  • Card Base: Basic Black Cardstock 11" x 4-1/4". Score and fold at 5-1/2".
  • Layer #2: Basic Gray Cardstock 5-1/4" x 4". Glue to card base.
  • Layer #3: So Saffron Cardstock 5" x 3-3/4". Using Pumpkin Pie Ink and a sponge, add color to the cardstock by starting in each corner and working your way around. Sponge lighter as you get closer to the center, leaving the center uninked. Stamp the bats image repeatedly from the Halloween Scares stamp set and Basic Black Ink. Add the sentiment from Jar Of Haunts and finish off the background by adding a few Rhinestone Jewels. Glue layer to card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Card Supplies:
  • Stamps: Halloween Scares, Jar Of Haunts
  • Inks: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black
  • Cardstock: Basic Black, Basic Gray, So Saffron
  • Tools: Stamping Sponges, Stampin' Dimensionals
  • Accessories: Rhinestone Jewels

Thanks for stopping by to visit me today!

  1. Rich spooky colors. I like the group of bats taking flight. Would that be a battalion of bats? I don't know what a bunch of bats is called but I'm crossing off herd from the list. Pretty sure that's not it.

Thanks so much for visiting me today. I appreciate your comments!
