I had so much fun creating for this session. Just a hint, I live in Maine and the stamp set I used was perfect for all the recreational activities we have available in our wonderful state. Can you guess which one I used?
Our session is live today so sign up now by visiting Create with Connie & Mary!
So today for our Saturday Blog Hop we are all featuring Flirty Flamingo as our featured color. Out of all 5 of our new In Colors, this is the one I've used the most so far. I love how bright & cheery this color is. Take a peek at today's project:
I have a little bit of embossing, some stamping direct-to-designer-paper and some fussy cutting today to show you:
Here is the recipe for my card:
- Card Base: Flirty Flamingo 11" x 4-1/4". Score in the center at 5-1/2" and fold.
- Layer #2: Basic Black Cardstock 5-1/4" x 4". Glue to card base.
- Layer #3: Affectionately Yours Designer Paper 5" x 3-3/4". Using the Floral Affection Embossing Folder, emboss centered. Leave the designer paper inside the folder and sand the "bumps" to reveal the white core of the paper. Remove from embossing folder. Stamp the sentiment and leaves using Basic Black Ink from the Love & Affection stamp set. Glue to card front.
- Flowers: Stamp 2 flowers using Basic Black Ink on Flirty Flamingo Cardstock. Hand-cut and glue to the center of each embossing row using Stampin' Dimensionals. Add Pearl Jewels in the center of each flower.
