New Gate Fold Easel Card and New Video!

I fell in love with this new card fold when viewing it by Jacqueline Kruining. I did not have instructions but only a photo to go by on Pinterest and figured out how to do it on my own. Luckily I'm like that, a very visual person! Here is the card and video below:

Because there are so many components to this card, I have lots of photo's to show you. The one above shows what the card looks like when fully opened and with the easel upright.

This photo is of the card when you first open it with the center portion, the easel, folded down and the photo below shows the gates closed and the ribbon tied for mailing:

Close-up view of the hearts from "Groovy Love" and banner from the "One Tag Fits All" stamp set:

I used the same banner on the card base along with a "Tea Lace Doily":

And these two hearts are raised with Stampin' Dimensionals to hold the easel portion of the card upright:

I hope you fell in love with this card fold as much as I did and I hope you will view my video and try to create one! All supplies can be purchased through my Stampin' Up! Online Store at the bottom of my post.

Here is the video:

And here is the pattern to create the score and fold lines:

And if you would like to print the pattern, I have it loaded to Google Drive as a PDF here: GATE FOLD EASEL PATTERN

  2. Debbie, this is such a beautiful style of card, lots of steps but totally worth the time and effort. The thing I love most about easel cards is that you can really make the focal point on that panel with just about anything or any image, so the recipient can place it anywhere in their homes to enjoy looking at it every day.
Thank you so much for taking the time to figure out this fabulous fold technique, for sharing the measurements and for making this great video, you are so generous and kind.
