Mystery Hostess Workshop & New Catalog Open House!

I held a Mystery Hostess Workshop & New Catalog Open House on Tuesday and all the attendees created two cards each. Congrats Roberta for being chosen as the Mystery Hostess!

This is the first card everyone made. We used the Sale-A-Bration stamp set called "Lotus Blossom". Isn't it fantastic? And what is really fantastic is that you can earn it for FREE with a $50 order through my online store!

The scalloped paper in the background is also another Sale-A-Bration item you can earn for FREE. So....place a $100 order through my online store and get both of these items mailed to you!

The paper is actually embossed with white on white cardstock. I added color by sponging Sahara Sand Ink and the embossed areas resist the ink to create this magnificent background! There are six different designs and the paper is called "Irresistably Yours".

Here's a close-up of my beautiful 3-step flower:

And the sponged embossing. Oh look, we also have a brandy new tag topper punch called "Ornate Tag Topper Punch":

For our 2nd card we inked up the new "Spring Flowers Embossing Folder" using Tangerine Tango Ink and a Brayer. We added a Whisper White Cardstock layer inside the folder. Once we put the folder through the Big Shot Machine, look how beautiful the background layer came out:

The stamp set used here is the new "Painted Petals" stamp set. How fun!

I hope you enjoyed my two cards. We had a great time at the workshop although it was so cold out here. Thanks to the girls that attended. I enjoyed having you!

  1. You ARE amazingly Amazing!! Beautiful cards! Thank you so much for the inspiration. Love that background paper you made with the EF!

  2. Beautiful cards, Debbie! I am still getting the hang of the Lotus Blossom. On my first try, I didn't realize the little tab helps you line them up. Silly me. I especially love the brayer technique with the embossing folder. I assume you brayerd color onto the folder, placed the card stock in and ran it through the Big Shot? I have to try that. ..the results are stunning! Thanks for the inspiration. Have a great day.

  3. Gorgeous cards and thank you for reminding me/us to use color inside the EF...such beautiful results! My personal fav is the Lotus flower....had been struggling with it but learning quickly that one should use more than one color! Love the second card as well...never thought to slide a tag topper as an accent. You are so clever!

  4. Thank you for sharing this gorgeous cards Debbie and for reminding us about inking the EF, what a fabulous results, love that background!! I must get that Lotus Blossom stamp set, I will get it hopefully next month, we need to kind of recover from the Holiday spending, not extravagant but spending non the less.

Thanks so much for visiting me today. I appreciate your comments!
