Dryer Sheet Technique & Video!

Hi Stampers! I have a new card for you today and a NEW video! For those of your that are "Channel Subscribers", you'll get a notice to view it!
So today's card is a technique that's been around for quite some time. Seems like it resurfaces around the Christmas holiday so I thought I would use it a little differently today by creating a birthday card:

The shimmer in the background is so gorgeous. You'll get to see it a little better on the video. It certainly is a "wow" card.I used Dazzling Diamonds and a new stamp set called "Butterfly Basics" that became available yesterday in our brand new Occasions Catalog. Here's a few close-up peeks:

  1. Great video Debbie! I've seen this technique, but never done it. I bet we'll be doing it at my next techniques class. Thanks!!

  2. Love the video Debbie, it's the best tool to attempt this technique, since I'm a very visual person. I'm so glad you decided to share your talent and creativity on video tutorials.
I've seen this technique in a few cards but I've never actually done it, but your video explained really great how to go about it so I will give this a try, what a wonderful way to recycle those dryer sheets.
    Thank you for sharing.

  3. Lovely lovely card!!! Thanks so much for coming by my blog!!! I am checking out this video!!!!

  4. Debbie, this is so cool, I had to post it on FB so my SU! friends could see it!!!!!----Hope you do not mind!!!!

  5. Love the video! I have used this dryer sheet technique before, but your card is better than any I've seen. I love the lacy background and it works so well with the new stamp set. Very organic! Love it! Thanks for sharing!

  6. Very pretty Debbie! So happy you're doing videos now. I love your nails too.

    Ter ;)

  7. I tried this technique with my Christmas cards this year and it didn't quite work out. Too much effort and way too much mess. With the camera angle and pace of your video, I can see exactly what I did right and not so right. Thank you for this tutorial and for spotlighting that background stamp. It's going back on my wish list!
