Rectangular Pop-Up Box Card!

I changed things up a bit for today's project. I hope you don't mind....I don't think you will! I decided to play around with a different box size for the Pop-Up Box Card and make it rectangular instead of square:

And since spring has arrived for most of you and finally here in Maine, I thought adding some Punch Art daffodils was in order. I made this card a few weeks ago when Sale-A-Bration was still going on so the stamped image I used is no longer available. I had actually planned on using this image and coordinating the flowers with it:

Each flower has 3 layers punched with the Petite Petals Punch. I used a stylus on the top flower to shape it. I also colored some Rhinestone Jewels with an orange Permanent marker:

Here are the dimensions for the card:

  Decorative Layers:
  • Backdrop Panel: 4" x 3 7/8" (you can also add one on the back of this panel in white for leaving a note and signing, optional)
  • Bottom of box 3 sides: 3 7/8" x 1 1/4", 7/8" x 1 1/4" (2)
  • Flaps: 3 7/8" x 2 1/2", 7/8" x 2 1/2" (2)

  7. Connie, all I did was measure the inside width and added 1/2" on each side, fold and glue. I added two strips. Hope that helps and thanks!

  8. I love how you created your rectangular box. It gives more room on the back panel to put a verse and leave room to write on it. You could make a feature of it too. Your flowers and colours are lovely.Fabulous.XX

  9. It looks like you used two different punches for the layers of the flowers. The top one has 6 petals while the bottom ones appear larger and have 5 petals each. I can't seem to find the second one that you used. Can you help, please?
    Thanks

    1. Hi Sue, the punch for the smaller flower is the Boho Blossoms Punch which has 3 flowers on it. The middle sized flower is the one I used. Hope that helps!

  12. Lovely, but are the headings "flaps" and "sides of box" reverse for those measurements, or am I losing my mind? I've already measured things wrong today so I could just be looking at it wrong...
