Tuesday Tips or Techniques-3D Heart on a card!

Good morning stampers! Today I am going to show you how to create a 3D heart for the front of a card. What is great about this 3D heart is that it can be folded flat for mailing. Our Hearts Collection Framelits made this project so easy! Take a look:

This is what the 3D heart looks like when you lay the card on a flat surface. Pretty neat!

Step 1:

Cut out 8 hearts using the Hearts Collection Framelits.  I used 2 different sized hearts to cut the outside and one small heart hole in the center. I was able to secure them in place nested together so you can cut both of them in one swipe:

Step 2:

Using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool, score each heart in half and fold using a Bone Folder:

Step 3:

Glue all of your hearts together by gluing half of a heart to half of another heart. Repeat until all hearts have been glued together as shown:

Step 4:

Cut out one heart a size larger than the hearts you folded in half and emboss using the Fancy Fan Textured Impressions Folder,. Stamp the heart image from the You Are Loved Stamp Set in Crumb Cake Ink. Cut out using a  framelits heart sized smaller than the 3D heart :

Step 5:

Glue the stamped heart to the back of  your 3D heart with the stamped image facing the front. Add Stampin' Dimensionals to the back as shown:

Step 6:

Glue the 3D heart to the embossed heart:

Finish your card as you like!
