stillADDinktive Challenge-Sketch Challenge #2!

I am really loving the new challenges at "stillADDinktive". Not only do we have a color challenge or a sketch challenge but we have BOTH combined! Take a peek at the duo challenge for this week:

The colors are "Tempting Turquoise, Summer Starfruit and Chocolate Chip". Now when the new In-Colors for this year debuted, I was not a fan of Summer Starfruit. I've used it quite a bit lately and it really is growing on me. Here is my card for this week:

Some of you know me well enough to know that when a new Stampin' Up! catalog comes to my mailbox, the first thing on my list is always anything to do with butterflies. I just love them. And this one is no different. It is super humungous and gorgeous! I embossed "her" (notice the pearls, it's a her) using VersaMark Ink and Tempting Turquoise Embossing Powder on the Birds of a Feather Designer Paper. Yes I  had to chop some of the image but I just love the look of this!

I outlined the butterfly layer with a thin layer of Chocolate Chip Cardstock and layered that over a square cut with the Scallop Square Die and Tempting Turquoise Cardstock. I love the look of the 3 colors together. The chocolate chip makes the other 2 colors really "pop" doesn't it?

Stampin' Up! Supplies:
  • Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Tempting Turquiose
  • Inks: VersaMark, Chocolate Chip
  • Stamps: Swallowtail, Oh Hello
  • Tools: Big Shot Machine, Scallop Square Die, Curly Label Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals, Heat Tool, Tempting Turquoise Embossing Powder
  • Accessories: Pearl Jewels
  • DSP: Birds of a Feather
I bet you are anxious to see what our team members are up to. Hop on over to "stillADDinktive" and pay them a visit. Just maybe you'll consider joining us this week! Thanks for stopping by to visit!

  1. I have been admiring your beautiful butterfly for the last couple of weeks Debbie, she is just gorgeous. I like how you stamped and embossed on the DSP and added the pearls to finish her off.

  3. Yes, I had the same thoughts as Susan and Lisa and Debbie, I hold you responsible for me just having to put in another pre-order! ;) Your gorgeous card was the inspiration I needed to get that beautiful stamp. It's now 'winging' its way via the postie. This card certainly has the wow factor.
