Merry Monday #27!

I have some very exciting news for you today. Leslie from "Merry Monday" asked me to be their guest designer for the month of August.....how exciting is that? The idea behind this challenge is to get a head-start on your Christmas cards! You will be seeing me for the next 4 weeks on the "Merry Monday" Design Team!

This is the sketch challenge for the 1st week of August:

And this is my first submission as "Merry Monday Guest Designer for August":

The "Snow Much Fun" stamp set is snow much fun to play with! Even though the snowman image is nearly 4-5" long, I only used part of the image when I decided to cut the Whisper White Cardstock using a label from the Apothecary Arts Framelits. I also stamped the image using Midnight Muse Ink and very lightly touched the edges of the ink with a Blender Pen to drag some of the ink for high-lighting. The remainder of the colors are from Stampin' Write Markers: Gumball Green, So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie:

Card Supplies:
  • Cardstock: Marina Mist, Gumball Green, Whisper White
  • Inks: Midnight Muse, Gumball Green, Stampin' Write Markers: Gumball Green, So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie
  • Stamps: Snow Much Fun
  • Accessories: Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons, 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon in Gumball Green, Bakers Twine
  • Tools: Big Shot Machine, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Modern Label Punch, Finishing Touches Edgelits, Sponge Daubers, Delicate Designs Embossing Folders, Stampin' Dimensionals, Boho Blossoms Punch, Blender Pen
  • DSP: 2012-2014 In Color Paper Stack

  5. Oh, wow! What a cool effect cutting the snowman out like that. It's as if we're peeking at him out a small window or a key hole. Love it!
