Wednesday Wacky-Exploding Triangle Box!

I like experimenting with different card folds. Believe it or not, this little tiny box starts out with one piece of cardstock:

I added Velcro Dots to keep it closed but this is what the box looks like when you unfasten the Velcro Dots:

You can add a message inside or something small to give to the recipient:

This is the flap that has Velcro Dots:

I spotted this cute little box on "With a Stamp and a Song" and she explains how to create it on her blog. Thanks Deb for such a cute idea! This is what the pattern of score lines looks like:

You start out with a 6" x 6" square piece of cardstock and score in thirds tic-tac-toe style and add the diagonal scores where indicated. Once you have all the scored lines scored and folded, a 2" x 4" cardstock piece scored and folded in half is glued for the top and front and creates your flap. How cool is that?

Project Supplies:

  • Inks: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
  • Tools: Big Shot Machine, Blossom Party Die, Sponge Daubers, Simply Scored Scoring Tool
  • Accessories: Glimmer Brads
  • Stamps: French Foliage
  • Misc: Velcro Dots

  1. This is such a creative design. I love projects that are dimensional and this one looks easy to make. I love that it uses one piece of cardstock and there is room for a hidden message/treat! Your colors are gorgeous and the flower is so very pretty!
