Stampers for Others

The card for today is a card I made for our "Stampers for Others" group for our November challenge. We had to create a card using the following colors:
  • Very Vanilla
  • Pumpkin Pie
  • Pretty In Pink
  • Wisteria Wonder
I decided to create a "Gate Fold" card and make it into a "Get Well" card as I don't have very many on hand right now. Winter seems to be the time when you need one of these types of cards the most, unfortunately.

Here is my card:

The card is 5.5" x 8.5". Score at 2 1/8" x 6 3/8" on the 8.5" side and fold! The Top Note is glued on one folded piece only and lined up exactly in the center and used as my "swing" piece:

Notice how the card swings open above.

Now for the detail. I used the "Designer Frames" for the center of my Top Note shape and stamped the "get well soon" from the "Delightful Dozen Stamp Set" with Jet Black StazOn Ink. I stamped around the edges of the Top Note also to create a background using a stamp image from "Creative Elements":

I just "LOVE" these flowers from the "Creative Elements Stamp Set". I inked them all up in Jet Black StazOn, stamped them on cardstock and hand-cut. I added a 2nd layer to the Pretty In Pink and Pumpkin Pie flowers and used "Stampin' Dimensionals" to make them pop. Embellish with "Pearl Jewels".

The butterflies were stamped with the same ink and hand-cut. Plop them on the card front using "Stampin' Dimensionals":

I finished off my card by using my "Color Spritzer Tool" and a "Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write Marker" to add specks to the front of the card. I hope you have enjoyed my card for today. Stop by tomorrow and I'll have a new sample for you!

  3. To the person who commented above, I hope you come back and read this as I don't have a way to email you. The frame in the middle of the Top Note is a "Designer Frame Textured Folder" that Stampin' Up! sells in it's current catalog. You use it in the Big Shot Machine and it is gorgeous!
