Punch Art Gobble, Gobble!

How often do people just skip by designing or decorating for Thanksgiving? Thanksgiving happens to be one of my favorite holidays. We always get together with family, have a great meal and no gifts to buy!

I wanted to make a "Punch Art" card and I wanted to create my own version of a turkey. This is what I came up with:

Isn't he cute? Looks like he's struttin' around showing off his colors! I used my Simply Scored Scoring Tool on the scallops and sponged Early Espresso Ink on the edges. Do you like the way he is holding the "Happy Thanksgiving" with his beak?

Punches used:
  • Body: 1 3/4" Circle Punch in Early Espresso Cardstock and sponged on the edges with Early Espresso Ink.
  • Head: Small Oval Punch in Early Espresso Cardstock and sponged on the edges with Early Espresso Ink.
  • Eyes: Punch Pack (circle) in Whisper White, Owl Punch in Early Espresso for the pupils.
  • Beak: Hand-cut in Tangerine Tango and sponged on the edges with Early Espresso Ink.
  • Wattle: Blossom Punch in Riding Hood Red  Cardstock and sponged on the edges with Early Espresso Ink.
  • Feathers: 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch in Riding Hood Red, More Mustard, Old Olive, Tangerine Tango and sponged on the edges with Early Espresso Ink.
  • Feet: Snowflake Punch in More Mustard and sponged on the edges with Early Espresso Ink.
Other Supplies:
  • Cardstock: Riding Hood Red, Old Olive, Whisper White
  • DSP: Spice Cake
  • Tools: Big Shot Machine, Houndstooth Textured Impressions Folder, Tasteful Trim Die, Stampin' Dimensionals, Word Window Punch, Sponge Daubers
  • Inks: Early Espresso
  • Stamp Sets: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by. I appreciate all your comments and emails! I hope you have a great Thanksgiving with your family! Make sure you stop in tomorrow for our Create with Connie & Mary Challenge!
