Stocking turned Rocking Horse!

I switched my holiday mode to a baby card today. Even thought I love creating holiday cards, a much needed break from them changes things up a bit.The stamp set used though, is a holiday stocking stamp. Turn it upside down and you have a hobby horse!

I first saw this cute little hobby horse on Jackie Topa's blog and have seen tons of them since. You could also omit the stamped image and just use the Stocking Punch to create your own design. I added a strip of Sticky Strip on the underside and looped my Bakers Twine to form the mane:

I love the look of the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Folder on one of my background layers. I also used the same look to layer my sentiment on:

I used the Early Espresso Ink and rubbed it with a sponge on my popsicle stick to make it "match". I can see my hubby's head moving from side-to-side right now as I use the word "match", as he says, "Oh no, everything has to match!" I'm a little obsessive with the "matching" thing!

Stampin' Up! Supplies:
  • Cardstock: Whisper White, Tangerine Tango, Early Espresso
  • DSP: In-Color 2011-2013 Patterns Paper Pack
  • Inks: Early Espresso, Tangerine Tango, Island Indigo, Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker
