A few days ago I made a card using Pinwheels, something we all made as you also remember making rosette's as a child? Funny how things from the past creep back up on us. A few days ago I was watching something on TV concerning sports. I played sports all throughout my junior high, high school and college years and even played softball well into my 30's. Do any of you remember the "sweat socks" we used to wear back in the late 70's into the 80's? The ones with the stripes at the top that we pulled all the way to our knees? THEY'RE BACK! I couldn't believe it. Anyway, that's what the pinwheel's and the rosette's make me think of........things from the past that resurface:

Most of you have now received the new Holiday Mini Catalog. The most wonderful new item in this new catalog is the "Simply Scored Scoring Tool". This is the tool I used to create these rosette's:

This new scoring tool has score tracks every 1/8" and two easy-to-read rulers along the top and left side for perfect scoring. Check back next week and I'll have a tutorial on how to make these rosettes!

Card Supplies:
  • Tools: Simple Scored Scoring Tool, BigShot Machine, Top Note Die, Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch, Boho Blossoms Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Bird Punch, Snow Burst Textured Impressions Folder, Sticky Pages, Mat Pack & Paper Piercer
  • DSP: Cheerful Treat DSP
  • Cardstock: So Saffron, Whisper White
  • Accessories: Square Rhinestone Brads
  • Stamp Set:Friendly Phrases
  • Inks: Melon Mambo

  1. Love the rosettes! Would you mind giving the dimensions and score lines?

  2. Hi, I did not have your email address to respond to you so hopefully you will check back here. I sold the card this morning so I don't have it in front of me to measure. The largest rosette is 12" x 1" and score every 1/4". The 2nd one I believe was 12" x 3/4" and scored the same way!

  3. Beautiful rosettes, Debbie! The texture is perfect!

  4. Gorgeous! The embossing on the top note really adds to this card too!

  5. AWESOME! Such a sweet card and those rosettes are PERFECT!

Thanks so much for visiting me today. I appreciate your comments!
