Growing Green

White on white looks good doesn't it? I've got 3 layers of plain ole' Whisper White. I sponged 2 of them with Early Espresso Ink and a Sponge Dauber. For the smallest of the 3 layers, I popped it up with Stampin' Dimensionals:

I stamped the flower image 3 times and hand-cut with my Paper Snips. I added adhesive to 2 of the flowers and layed them flat. The 3rd image is again popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals:

Do you ever attempt water-coloring? If you answered no, why not? Water-coloring is the most relaxing technique. TIP: Start out by coloring your image with the lightest color first and work in some details by adding darker colors. Try to picture where the shadows would show up in real life. I usually add shadows where the layers meet, such as the layers in the petals. Corners are another great place to add shadows, such as the corners of each leaf. Blender Pens make for easy flowing of color.

I leave you today with photo's from my gardens. I do all my own gardening. This year summer was so slow getting here in Maine. Some of my flower beds are just now starting to fill in. Thanks for stopping in!

Our house sits back on our property and this is a fence we added
at the very front as a "welcome" to our home

Work in progress! My son is coming this weekend to add an irregular blue stone walkway
to a section from the front entrance of the breezeway to this front deck. Where you see the green
grass will be replaced with the blue stone. I'll have to show you after pictures. So anxious!
