Happy 1st week of May! We have new challenges lined up for you at Create with Connie & Mary. Here is the sketch for this week, and remember, Stampin' Up! only: I decided to change one item for the sketch this week. I opted to go round instead of square: Do you recognize the stamp set? If you don't, it debuted on May 1st in the new Summer Mini Catalog. There are quite a few "masculine" sets this time around.....and I bought them all! I love creating masculine cards! This stamp set is called "The Open Sea" and we also have some new "Designer Series Paper" to match called "Nautical Expedition": I created my own background using the stamps from this set. Notice the little string? Another new product called "Baker's Twine" and it is available in 3 colors: White, Cherry Cobber/White and Early Espresso/White.

Card Supplies:
  • Stamp Sets: The Open Sea, On Your Birthday
  • Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White
  • Inks: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
  • Accessories: Brads, Bakers Twine
  • Tools: 2 1/2" Circle Punch, 3" Circle Die, Scallop Border Punch, Big Shot, Modern Label Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals
  • DSP: Nautical Expedition
And speaking of new stamps.....how would you like to be able to view 5 full weeks of daily projects and tutorials featuring the Mini Summer Catalog? Create with Connie & Mary has asked me to be a designer for their Summer Edition Subscription. We are offering an "Early Bird Special"until May 14th at 11:55 pm you can take advantage of our special pricing of $24.95 - that's $5 off the regular subscription price of $29.95!

  2. Love this card. This stamp set is growing on me. I, too, like the offset circles; gives it that little something extra.

  5. I am a huge lover of this stamp set and you've used it just perfectly. I love that you used a circular image where the sketch had a rectangular one. Great take on that!
