CCMC135-Inspiration Challenge

Cake Inspiration Challenge!!

I had fun with today's Create with Connie & Mary Challenge! There are so many elements to play with in this inspiration photo. I just love the little purse sitting atop of the cake and decided I wanted to make a purse card and matching goodie holder:
First the purse:

I used a pattern I had filed in my "Pattern Book". This pattern was actually a pattern shared by fellow demonstrator Linda Aarhus. Instead of the pattern opening at the top like a real purse, it folds to create a card! I opted to make a clutch purse but you can add a ribbon at the top for a handle if you wish.
Add a distinctive feminine flair to your projects by adding a "Rosette". Aren't these so cute? Available in the new "Occasions Mini Catalog"! You get 18 of these in 3 different sizes!

Card supplies:
  • Cardstock: Pretty In Pink, Very Vanilla
  • Inks: Pretty In Pink
  • Tools: Big Shot, Vintage Wallpaper Impressions Folder, Decorative Label Punch, Corner Rounder Punch, Large Oval Punch
  • Accessories: Rosettes
  • Stamp Set: Bring on the Cake

Now for the goodie holder. This is a brand new die in the "Occasions Mini Catalog". I am so addicted to any new dies or impressions folders that usually show up in each new catalog. They all go first on my wish list. This die is called the "Petal Cone" die. I can't wait to use this die to create ornaments for my christmas tree next year!
