Lisa's Workshop

This afternoon I will be busy at a workshop for Lisa & friends. The first 2 items are items I will be demonstrating to the group. Since I had created these as a set, I thought it was appropriate for the holidays. I find that some of my customers love seeing matching sets and these are both perfect to present as a little gift and matching card. Inspiration for the goodie box is from Lisa Young.

Here are the instructions for the little goodie box:

Supplies needed:

  • 1 1/4" Grosgrain Striped Ribbon
  • (2) Whisper White 1" Circle's for cheeks
  • (2) Basic Black 1/2" Circles for eyes
  • Hand-cut nose and Tangerine Tango Stampin' Write Marker for nose
  • (2) Big Designer Buttons for ear muffs and Mini Glue Dots
  • (1) Strip of Old Olive cardstock cut at 1" x 7" for handle
  • White Signo Gel Pen for eyes
  • Sponge Dauber and Blushing Bride Ink for cheeks
  • Black Stampin' Write Marker for mouth
  • Fancy Favor Box Die

Start out with a Fancy Favor box cut in Whisper White cardstock. Tie the ribbon around the bottom of the box. Glue Handle to top of box.

Using Mini Glue Dots, adhere the Big Designer Buttons on top of the handle to form the ear muffs.

Using a Sponge Dauber, sponge Blushing Bride ink along the edges of the cheeks circles. Glue the eyes, cheeks and nose in place. Add "carrot" lines to the nose using the Stampin' Write Marker. Add a mouth by using the black Stampin' Write Marker and making a squiggley smile. Add a little bit of Blushing Bride ink above the cheeks and finally, add "glimmer" to the eyes by forming small swirls in each eyeball with the White Signo Gel Pen. Isn't he cute?
Now we move on to the matching card:

Supplies Used:
  • Cardstock: Old Olive, Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler
  • Tools: Big Shot, Northern Flurry Impressions Folder, Northern Frost Decorative Strip, 2 1/2" Circle Punch, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch, Snowflake Punch, Heart to Heart Punch, Punch Pack, Small Oval Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, Sponge Daubers, Dazzling Diamonds, Glue Pen, Hand-held Punch, White signo Gel Pen
  • Accessories: Grosgrain Striped Ribbon, Rhinestone Jewels
  • Inks: Old Olive Ink, Whisper White Craft, Black Stampin' Write Marker, Tangerine Tango Stampin' Write Marker, Blushing Bride Ink

Are you starting to panic? We are only 14 days away from Christmas and you don't have your Christmas cards completed yet? Need a quick card in a hurry?

Here it is:

This is the card that the whole group created and got to take home with them. It is actually one of my favorite holiday cards for this year. Isn't this little bird just darling?

This literally is a 10 minute card! Use the "Extra Large 2-step Bird Punch" and emboss him in your favorite impressions folder and sponge the edges in "White Craft Ink". Add a "Pearl Jewel" for the eye. That simple! If you don't like to tie bows, omit the ribbon and you still have a beautiful card.
