Christmas Goodie Box & Movers and Shapers Die & Tutorial

Isn't this cute little goodie box adorable? Even you can create this and it's really quite quick to complete. If you don't have the BigShot or Movers & Shapers Die, you can substitute with a punch or leave the top without a cut-out. Instructions are below:

Start out with a piece of cardstock measuring 6" x 5.25". Score at 7/8" around all four sides:
Using your "Paper Snips", make a cut as shown below in each corner:

Apply "Tombow Adhesive" to all four corners:

Fold the small squares that you just applied adhesive to towards the inside of the adjacent side panels. Apply pressure to glue in place. You should have a square base bottom that looks like the photo below:

Now we will be creating the outside part of the box. Using your BigShot and Movers & Shapers Die, position the Ornament Cut-out from the "Holiday Windows Magnetic Stampin' Up! Movers & Shapers Die" and position in the center of the Movers & Shapers Die as shown below:

Position a piece of "Real Red Cardstock" over the "Movers & Shapers Die":

Run the die & cardstock through your BigShot and this is what your piece of cardstock should look like:

You will notice that the ornament shape is now cut out and you have a fold in the center of your cardstock. Using your "Vintage Wallpaper Impressions Folder", insert the portion of your cardstock piece that has the ornament cut-out and run through the BigShot once again:

This is what your embossed cardstock should look like:
Using a score tool, score at 1" on both ends and at 4.5" from the embossed edge. You should now have 4 scored lines:

Apply glue on the end furthest from the ornament cut-out:

Glue in place to form a square box:

Using an "Acetate Sheet", cut out a piece approximately 3" x 3" and apply "Sticky Tape" to all 4 edges:

Add to your box on the inside over the ornament shape. This step might have been easier to complete before you glued your cardstock piece together. I forgot to add mine first so I just slipped it inside the box and pressed with my hand to secure in place
.
Using the "Ornament Punch", cut 1 with DSP of your choice:

Add "Stampin' Dimensionals" to the back and adhere to the "Real Red" cut-out of the ornament:

Glue to the front of your box and add a strip of ribbon to one side:

I also added a small stamped image to the center of my ornament. Fill with goodies!

Note: If you don't own the "Movers & Shapers", you can make your own window using a punch and the paper size is 4.25" x 11".
