12 Days of Christmas, Day #11!

I have a cute matching set to show you today for Day #11 of my 12 Days of Christmas. I saw a photo of a snowman pail in a magazine the other day and thought I could recreate it as a goodie holder using the "Petal Cone Die":

I love snowmen, even more than Santa's. I have a collection of them that I decorate with for Christmas and leave some of them out during the winter months. I'll start with the matching card:

I used Marina Mist Cardstock for the background layer and followed with Shimmery White Cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the "Oh Bethlehem Stamp Set" at the top with StazOn Jet Black Ink:

For the snowman face I used the following punches:
  • Eyes: 3/4" Circle Punch, cut 2 with Basic Black Cardstock and use the White Signo Gel Pen to highlight inside the eyeballs.
  • Nose: Blossom Petals Punch, cut 1 in Tangerine Tango Cardstock, sponge with Tangerine Tango Ink and a Sponge Dauber. Add carrot lines with a Tangerine Tango Stampin' Write Marker.
  • Mouth: Punch Pack, cut 7 using Basic Black Cardstock. Add cheeks using a Sponge Dauber and Blushing Bride Ink.
Quick, clean & simple card!

Now for the goodie box:

I used the Petal Cone Die and cut 2 with Shimmery White Cardstock omitting about 1 inch from the bottom. I added a strip of Marina Mist Cardstock around the top that was embossed with the Snow Burst Textured Impressions Folder. To create a bottom for my box, I cut a strip of cardstock measuring 1" x 2.5" and score 1/2" on each end. Add glue to both ends and push down into the box to glue the sides to the bottom:

The face is completed exactly like the card was but in a smaller version:
  • Eyes: 1/4" Handheld Circle Punch in Basic Black and highlighted with the Signo White Gel Pen.
  • Nose: Blossom Petals Punch, cut 1 in Tangerine Tango Cardstock, sponge with Tangerine Tango Ink and a Sponge Dauber. Add carrot lines with a Tangerine Tango Stampin' Write Marker.
  • Mouth: Cupcake Punch (confetti), cut 7 using Basic Black Cardstock. Add cheeks using a Sponge Dauber and Blushing Bride Ink.
For the handle I cut a piece of the Shimmery White Cardstock and punched both sides with the Eyelet Border Punch. I glued a strip of Marina Mist 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon to the center.

Cut 2 of the largest flowers from the Boho Blossoms Punch with Tangerine Tango Cardstock and use a Glimmer Brad to pierce through the box and handle, secure in place:

Fill with candies and enjoy! Have a great day and please come back and join me tomorrow as I will have my last project of the 12 Days of Christmas series!
